In Miami, the best-known bakeries and bagel shops have lines on weekend mornings, so arrive early or order ahead where the shop offers it. Across Florida, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

Miami is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Miami is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Florida's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Baker & Barista is officially my new favorite bakery in Miami. Everything I tried was so much better than I expected, and you can really taste the care that goes into every single item. The chocolate babka with hazelnut was rich, soft, and absolutely delicious. The egg croissant is honestly to die for and might be one of the best breakfast pastries I’ve had in Miami. I also loved the apricot ricotta pastry and the cheese pastry. Even the simpler items feel special and are done so well. The matchas are amazing too. I love all the flavors, and they always taste balanced and thoughtfully made, not overly sweet. Also, a little tip: put the pastries in the air fryer for a few minutes when you get home. They taste like they just came fresh out of the oven. Warm, flaky, soft in the middle, and completely divine. This place is truly a 10 out of 10. Eating their food feels like such a happy, magical little experience. I really hope more people discover Baker & Barista because they deserve to become one of the most famous bakeries in Miami. Michelin, please take note.

Anyone that chooses not to visit this place because of the negative comments is truly missing out on an amazing culinary experience. I go here just about every day and the consistency in quality is unmatched. Baker and Barista set the baked goods and drink trends in Miami and every other place in Miami is either catching up to them or just copying everything they do. You can't find a place as good and original as Baker and Barista. If you're in Miami this is THE place to try.

Tried to order a variety of things. The matcha and vanilla bean latte were very heavy on the milk, so not my favorite. The egg croissant was the best thing, had good flavor and the pastry was really good. The cinnamon rolls would’ve been excellent if it had more frosting and was warmed up, but it was still really good. The banana bread was a little too dense. The chocolate chip cookie was good, just a little small for the price. Over all a cute place to stop, but no WiFi and very limited seating.

An absolutely delightful little place just north of the Design District. While they aren't open everyday and they hold fairly tight hours from approximately 7:30 a.m. till 3:00 p.m. their freshly baked pastries are phenomenal. They might have the best croissants in Miami, with your standard plain / chocolate / almond and more fun varieties like cheese, pistachio, and maple pecan. They've got a few cookies and savory options as well. Folks were driving here from afar early in the morning just to pick up a few things before heading to work, so I imagine things sell out quickly!

I had such an amazing experience! The coffee and matcha were both delicious, and the turkey sandwich was so fresh and flavorful. It’s a cute, small bakery with such a cozy atmosphere. The staff members were incredibly helpful and so kind, they really made the visit even better. I’ll definitely be coming back! β˜•οΈπŸ’šπŸ₯ͺ
